Researcher
I am actively researching and documenting my proposed target market
With your super refined summary document and some feedback from industry and start-up experts it’s time to do the bench work, i.e. research. The internet has made research a much easier job that it once was and you can find out most of the information you need online at little cost. Add in a few phone calls and you will probably have all you need.
However what exactly are you researching? Here are some ideas of things you will need to know;
- Market research
- Competitor Analysis
- Product Pitch
- Product Production and Delivery Plan
- Basic Product Costings
Again key is identifying your niche band researching within that niche. Working within a defined niche or vertical market can also help you really define your product pitch, as the more defined the target the more identifiable and quantifiable their benefits from utilising your product. Your product pitch should use SPIN analysis to define how you talk to clients.
